What materials are used in your hanging chairs?
Studio Stirling hanging chairs are crafted using high-quality materials and include metal frames, premium leather, and sustainable, commercial grade fabrics. Each chair is designed to offer both luxury and longevity.
How do I care for my hanging chair?
For metal chairs, simply wipe them down with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Leather sling chairs should be kept out of direct sunlight and maintained with a leather conditioner. Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and appearance of your chair.
Are your chairs suitable for use indoors or outdoors?
Our metal hanging chairs are designed for both indoor and outdoor use. Leather sling chairs are best suited for indoor environments or covered patios.
Are cushions available?
Cushions are optional but highly recommended for added comfort. We designed a range of cushiosn to fit our chairs. We offer a variety of fabric options, including Sunbrella, Silvertex Spradling an indoor velvet. Our most popular cushion style features a single color fabric on both sides. Should I choose a mild steel or stainless steel chair?
Each one of our chairs is hand made from mild steel – they are strong and durable and suitable for use outside. Our chairs are pre-treated with a rust protection process (such as the process used on a car chassis and train parts). Stainless steel is available on request and is recommended for high moisture, salty, wet and coastal conditions.
Why is shipping expensive, and what can I do?
Our hanging chairs (like the Bubble and Nest Egg) have a large volumetric weight, making shipping costs higher. We rely on shipping rates from companies like FedEx and DHL. We continually seek the best options for our clients. Consider our SLING range if shipping costs are a concern. These chairs flat pack into small boxes, making them more economical to ship.

What is the weight capacity of your chairs?
Our chairs are engineered to support a significant amount of weight. The maximum carrying capacity for a single chair is 120kg / 265lbs and for double chair models 240kg / 530lbs.

How long does it take to receive my order?
Our standard production lead time for chairs is 6-8 weeks. Delivery times vary based on your location and the specific chair ordered. For airfreight orders, typical shipping lead times are 7-10 business days, while seafreight orders usually take 32 or more business days.
